Somali Cats in need of Homes.

As a breed, the Somalis are extroverted, active, inquisitive and very affectionate. Rampageous Somalis were know to be exceptionally affectionate and loving cats. Unfortunately Marianne, breeder of Rampageous Somalis, was diagnosed with cancer in 2007 and passed away a year ago. Because of her illness, the young adults have had little socialization and as a result, they are quite shy and will need time and patience to come around.

Since the breeders death, the cats have been cared for by Lisa who was and still is extremely devoted to Marianne and to her cats.
We all agree that it's time that these Somalis find a permanent home where they can be loved 24/7. They deserve that.

Please let me know if you are interested in or need additional information about any of these cats. All the cats have been spayed or neutered. A small donation would be appreciated.

Thank you Barbara French of the Fanciers Breeder Referral List for your help in finding homes for these cats.
I know Marianne was your very good friend. (some of the text below was taken from the Fanciers Breeders Referral List)

Other (Boy)

Two ruddy Somali boys (Fridge and Other Boy), date of birth 11/2/09

These 2 Somali boys were born around the time their breeder was diagnosed with terminal cancer. During her illness, they had very little socialization, so they are quite shy, and now she is gone. They are in very great need of someone with patience and understanding and a willingness to help these boys discover the joy of relationships with people. A home with another very social cat would probably be helpful.

CFA registered name: Mistekatz Wesley of Rampageous
a Ruddy male dob 05/17/01

Wesley is a very sweet boy and would be in your lap 24/7 if you let him. He loves attention and gets long well with other cats. However, he was a breeding male. After he was neutered, he did not have any litterbox issues. Later, with the smell of other cat pee, he started to pee outside the box. It shouldn't be too difficult to retrain him to use the box by isolating him to a small room and using Cat Attract or other clean litter. As long as there are no smells from other cat pee, he should do fine. Wesley just wants to be loved, and he deserves a human (or 2 or 3!) to love him. Please consider giving Wesley a chance!

C.F Ruddy

Ruddy female
dob 06/06/04

Ruddy has found a new home and now lives with Barb in Springfield, Illinois.

Billy

CFA Registered Name: Rampageous Something to Believe, Ruddy male,
dob 07/14/08

Soon after Billy was born, his breeder/owner was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Although originally intended as a show cat, that was not to be. Billy didn't get the attention he needed to become well socialized, and is very shy. He needs a person with great patience and love to bring him out of his shell. Someone who understands cat behavior, or is willing to learn how to deal with scared cats would be best. Billy deserves a home where he can feel safe and learn the joys of having a relationship with humans.

Sugar

Sugar

CFA registered name Brown Sugar,
a blue female, dob 06/06/03

Sugar is a friendly cat, but would need some patience to adjust to a new situation. She is used to other cats, but is very dominant towards them, so a home without cats, or only with cats who are not dominant or not too easily intimidated by other cats would be best. Basically she needs lots of attention and she could be a great pet for some lucky family.

Felix

Felix has found a new home!!

When Marianne was alive someone dropped off two stray kittens (boy and girl) in her driveway in the middle of the night. The little girl hasn't been seen since the first week and we can only hope that she found a home. Marianne had the little boy neutered and rigged up a bed on the back deck. He's friendly and can be easily handled. Marianne's intention was to bring him into the house but as she became ill, that wasn't an option.

We are happy to say that Felix has found a new home.
